Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the forecast?
SkyTeller combines premium high-resolution forecast models (including GFS, ECMWF, and ICON), real precipitation radar, and minute-level nowcasting. Our Model Comparison view even shows you where the leading models agree or disagree, so you can gauge forecast confidence yourself.
Why does the app need my location?
Your location is used only to fetch the weather, radar, air quality, and alerts for where you are. You can also search for any place manually. Location is never sold or shared for advertising.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
SkyTeller Premium is billed through your Apple ID. To view, change, or cancel it, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions — or use the "Manage Subscription" link inside SkyTeller's Settings screen. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current period.
I paid but don't see Premium features.
Open SkyTeller's Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, so it restores automatically after reinstalling or switching devices. If it still doesn't appear, email us.
Why didn't I get a severe-weather or rain alert?
Make sure notifications are enabled for SkyTeller in your iPhone Settings, and that the alert types you want are turned on inside the app. Severe-weather warnings are provided by official government sources via Apple Weather and are only available in supported regions.
Radar or rain nowcast isn't showing in my area.
High-resolution radar coverage varies by region. Where local radar isn't available, SkyTeller automatically falls back to global precipitation data so you still get a useful nowcast.
